Architecture:

  • Describe how Avaya Call Management System (CMS) stores data.
  • Describe the CMS administrator and supervisor access options.
  • Identify the platforms and configurations that support CMS.
  • Identify the CMS supported platforms.
  • Describe the CMS supported devices.
  • Describe supported upgrades.
  • Describe high availability options on Avaya CMS.

Implementation:

  • Describe the information required to perform a new installation or an upgrade.
  • Administer a CMS link using the Communication Manager administration screens.
  • Connect the CMS to the customer network and peripheral devices.
  • Prepare the system for production.
  • Verify that the system is ready to hand off.
  • Migrate and backup system data.
  • Determine when to schedule license additions, data migration, and third-party interfaces with Avaya.
  • Describe Avaya Aura Virtualized Environment.

Administration:

  • Schedule and perform the cutover tasks.
  • Administer CMS using the CMS Supervisor client application.
  • Administer CMS using the CMS ascii interface.
  • Administer CMS using the CMS Supervisor Web application.

Maintenance:

  • Identify solaris and informix commands.
  • Describe maintenance logs and services.
  • Summarize Avaya CMS backup procedures.
  • Troubleshoot Link issues.
  • Troubleshoot network issues.
  • Run CMS setup from a Flat file.
